Alessandro Furnari

Biography

Alessandro Furnari is Assistant Professor of Practice in Healthcare management at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

His collaboration with SDA Bocconi began in 2016. He has taken part in multiple workshops and research projects with local and national public institutions and organizations operating in the healthcare sector. At CERGAS SDA Bocconi he has participated in various action research projects.

His research activities focus on Management Control Systems, Cost management, Performance management & measurement, Organizational & Institutional Arrangements, with a focus on healthcare organizations.

He is the author of numerous articles on his topics of interest. His work has been published in international journals, such as Health Services Management Research, and national ones, such as MECOSAN. He is also the author of several contributions to the Observatory on Healthcare Organizations and Policies in Italy (OASI) Annual Report and a member of the editorial board of the Observatory. Moreover, he is the author of international cases for The Case Centre.

Alessandro earned an MSc in Public Administration from Università Bocconi and a PhD in Management and Innovation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
